How does the Tesla Powerwall work?
Tesla Powerwall 3 utilises a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, storing surplus solar and/or cheap grid electricity to be used when needed and also in the event of a grid failure.
How will a Tesla Powerwall keep me safe from power cuts?
You decide what percentage of the battery is reserved for protection against grid failure, and this percentage is always held in reserve until a power cut. The remaining percentage of the battery is available for solar power to be used overnight.
How much energy can a Tesla Powerwall store?
Tesla Powerwall 3 can store up to 13.5kWh of energy – that’s enough to supply a typical home’s power usage for a whole day or more.
Is having a Tesla Powerwall high maintenance?
The beauty of the Powerwall is that it requires no maintenance - the fully automatic system means there’s no need for you to monitor it. Tesla closely monitors batteries to catch failures before they happen.

Skilled and professional company. The initial survey was way more comprehensive and thoughtful that other quick-sell solar companies. Looked into all aspects of the build including whether the roof space was strong enough, could the garage wall support a battery and many more.
